In the article Robots with a hot-line we raise the question if governments, industries and military intelligence agencies are trustworthy enough to handle the ability to influence a persons thoughts and actions? And do we want any authority to have the means to collect and store our most inner thoughts in a databank?

This might seem like sci-fi right now, but technologies are emerging that would make such a scenario quite real. In this article robots are the link. Sooner or later we will be forced to deal with brain technologies that will challenge our ideas about privacy and autonomy, both for human and non-human lifeforms. So how should we deal with such a scenario?

I takt med utviklingen av nye selvbevisste intelligente livsformer, som roboter, kyborgere og forbedrede versjoner av mennesket selv, trengs en bred evaluering av loven om menneskerettigheter. En tanke som for mange kan virke fremmed, men som om noen tiår kan være høyst aktuell.
